Having followed the comments on previous day’s,I read yesterday’s with interest. I agree with all my fellow crocheters. I gave up with the enormous box last night- it had become so tatty after random searches for correct colours. I then had to dispose of large amount of non- recyclable plastic.Wools now in cloth bag.
I had bought this,at no little cost,to have some fun and to help with mindfulness in pre Christmas stresses.
It has, however, made me fraught on occasion- not the new stitches, but lack of back up from Practical Publishing. Two unanswered e mails. ‘lost colours’ etc
I’m not on Facebook. I could go on- I won’t on this forum as I don’t think Practical Publishing read this and it’s not fair on you guys- it is Christmas after all!
On a Positive note,I have been enjoying new stitches, especially Mosaic. I am treating this as a Sampler,as in the old needle work samplers( although too big to frame!).
Next time, I’ll buy my own yarn, use the free patterns and spend some money on a chocolate advent calendar!
Have the Happiest Christmas that you are able to,in these uncertain times. ⛄🤶

I was very interested to read this comment. I have tried , twice, to make same grievances , but the bosses have not allowed the comments to stand and I’ve had no response to emails. Unless I had reassurances on quality etc I shall, sadly, not be investing in it were CS to do a second calendar despite having greatly enjoyed the stitches.

I am so pleased I ordered this Advent Calendar as in these uncertain times it has given me a focus everyday and I have felt a real sense of achievement learning so many new stitches especially as I only learnt (with the help of Sarah Jayne’s tutorials) to crochet in July this year. So thank you 😊

I have loved every minute of doing this blanket. It took me out of my comfort zone at times with new stitches but I have enjoyed the learning. I only had one colour out of place so no big deal. Am really looking forward to completing it and showing off to my family. I hope you do another advent next Christmas as I for one will definitely buy it again. Thank you for all your work and patience in putting this together ❤️

I missed out on buying the advent calendar but bought the yarn available to purchase. I’ve not been in a very good place mentally recently and i must say that having this to focus on each day and have a sense of advisement learning so many new stitches has been wonderful so i for one have been very happy with the whole CAL project – thank you x

I have loved everything so far, yes I got the wrong colours, but I didn’t swap, I wanted the surprise of it all, and now my blanket is slightly different, which makes mine a little unique. I have loved learning new techniques and the mosaics, it has taken me out of my comfort zone, but has given me a lot more confidence. And yes I have made some mistakes along the way, but again I have kept them in the blanket and again making it unique. I have also loved opening it every day and making a small video for my page, which people have enjoyed. So for me it’s been a winner 😀
