I received Box 1 of the Crochet Society today and I love it 🙂 I resisted having a preview peep at what was in the box!!! So glad I subscribed. The box itself is very sturdy and will be a nice keepsake. It was a lovely surprise as included in the box were several items that I would have needed in the future, for example: A notebook, stitch markers, crochet hook and The West Yorkshire Spinners Bo Peep yarn, which is so lovely and soft. Also a nice little pattern booklet, which another surprise, a pattern for wrist warmers which I was thinking of doing as my hands are generally cold while crocheting. I hope my comments may inspire you to Subscribe as I am sure you will like it.
In the future I would like to see patterns for cowls or scarves in Chunky yarn, especially the Stylecraft yarn my Favourite yarn, and any Cushion patterns using this yarn.

I have watched the tutorial for Penrose as I got confused with the pattern in the book.
I wondered if you could tell me what pm means in row 27, this was not referred to in the video, also rm in row one of the ears. I have looked in abbreviations and nothing there to help!
Also the video jumps from row 10 to 14 with no reference to why?
Also could I ask why the colour is not carried across at the back to save pulling!
I am new to colour work not to mention only learning to crochet in the last 12 months. It’s all so disheartening when you use the video to help and it just confuses you more.
There was even a stitch marker in the video at one point and I didn’t know why. I just get hung up on the detail.

My box arrived this morning and I resisted opening until I was sitting down this evening so that I could really appreciate it . I love it !! Beautiful yarn woth a really nice pattern booklet and I love that there are choices of projects to make . Please keep to useable projects , not just soft toys or ornament things . I will make the wrist warmers this time as they’re very useful . The little extras included in the box are so cute as well ! I’ve received my Box 1 today I was so excited I was like a child opening a bag of my favourite sweets. The contents are fab and I can’t wait to get started on my project of which one I will pick I’m not sure yet they all look great 😃. All the little extras were a great touch are these just in the first box or will there be other things other then the wool in future? So glad I’ve subscribed now I’ve got to find somewhere to store all the boxes as they are too good to just throw away.

Hi, I love box one , the treats are so cool , I have enjoyed making a couple of the projects, the hook was so comfortable to use , I have always used metal hooks so far as I hold my hook like a pen , and never found a comfort grip slim enough to be comfortable, this one is perfect I hope there will be more to come.

I also love my crochet box! I especially loved the way that it was wrapped up in the tissue paper with the confetti as well. None of it will be wasted as I will use it to wrap my own crochet projects in when I give them as gifts. I would like to see different sizes of hook and thicknesses of yarn from time to time – I subscribe to a yarn pack magazine and it’s the same type of yarn and hook size every issue, so I would like the variety. I would also love a pair of scissors in one of the boxes. I was very impressed with the quality of the products in the box, especially the gorgeous yarn.

I’m a late starter and just realised about Crochet Society a couple of weeks ago. Since then I have ordered Box 1 & 2 on back-order so received yesterday (which was so quick considering I’m in Australia) at work and squealed with excitement so much my colleague said I should start on the project straight away!!
